The Asian Games were held in Doha Qatar in December 2006. The organisers of the games chose to deploy an advanced fibre optic IP (Internet Protocol) video transport system for uncompressed HD and SD video. The Asian Games competition consisted of teams from 45 different countries competing in 39 sports over a period of 15 days. High quality video signals were transported from each the major venues. These games featured both HD and SD uncompressed video signals on multilateral feeds that could be used by many different broadcasters.
