Remote playout via the Internet

Having inherently reliable and fully redundant equipment is a great benefit for remote playout systems. Operational methods, such as placing the media on local playout server's hard drives a week or more in advance, help further to maintain playout even throughout some major failures. The first project using 'FoxBox' began operation in December 2008, delivering two channels - Fox Life and Fox Life +1 in Athens. There are no Fox personnel on site and all operations run from FOX International Channels Italy - just as planned. More are channels are now in operation.
