BBI Visit to Histogram, Durham - Soft Drinks' Best Kept Secret - on Wednesday 21 January 2004

A recent visit was made to Histogram in Durham and those who made the trip were not disappointed. Histogram is a vibrant organisation that is totally aware of what a co-packer is there to do, and how everyone in the workforce can work together to do it. We were welcomed by Chris Banks, CEO, and Nick Turvey, General Manager, who gave us the introduction. Histogram has had an interesting history to date. In 1972 they were set up by Coca-Cola to manufacture concentrates. In 1983, focus changed when two Tetra Pak lines were installed and this was followed by four more in 1996. In February 2001 there was a management buy-out lead by the now Chief Executive, Chris Banks.
