The Dutch brewer said sales in the first six months of the year were up 14.1% on the back of increases in Europe and the Americas. "Overall, we expect full year financial results to remain below 2019," CEO Dolf van den Brink said. The warning follows a difficult year for Heineken. Last year, the brewer's first-half sales plunged 15.5% because of the loss of the on-premise and other obstacles caused by COVID-19. In Europe, where the Amsterdam-based Heineken has a strong presence in bars and restaurants, and the Americas sales dropped by 8% and 15% respectively.
