This book examines the link between the ancient Silk Road (SR) and the new Chinese design of the road. It presents China's most important goals for the 'One Belt, One Road' (OBOR) project and explores the main challenges facing China, Iran and the other participating countries in the 'Belt and Road Initiative' (BRI) launched in 2013. The book provides information about the transport and energy sectors and the financing of this project. It examines how Iran, China, Russia, India, Pakistan and central Asia can interact for the success of the project.
