ITT Exelis has been awarded a U.S. Army contract to continue to provide information technology operations and maintenance support to the U.S. Army in Southwest and Central Asia. The contract has a potential value of $788 million when all options are exercised. The Operations, Maintenance and Defense of Army Communications in Southwest Asia and Central Asia (OMDAC-SWACA) contract, awarded by the U.S. Army Contracting Command, Fort Huachuca, Ariz., includes a phase-in period, a base period, two one-year options, and two one-year award terms. Exelis has been the incumbent on this contract, formerly called the Total Army Communications - Southwest Asia, Central Asia and Africa (TAC-SWACAA) contract, since 2005.
