Microsystems technology German Government plans and actions for the future

摘要

In 1994 the then Federal Ministry for Research and Technology decided to continue to further the development of microsystems technology in Germany by laying down plans for several years ahead and to provide considerable funds for this purpose. The policies guiding these plans are here described in detail and various successes achieved so far are given. Some components have reached mass production quantities. European and other international collaboration is discussed.
