Belgian IP lawyer Annick Mottet Haugaard has been appointed as the new President of the European Community Trademark Association.rnShe was previously a member of the council and of the anti-counterfeiting committee of the ECTA, and, since June 2006, she has also acted as second vice-president of the ECTA.rnHaugaard graduated in law in 1987 from the University of Liege where she worked for two years as a trainee lawyer and an assistant in criminal procedure. In 1990, she joined the law firm Stibbe, where she became partner on 1 January 2000. In 2006 she joined Lydian where she led the commercial & litigation department.
