The owner of numerous cloud-storage patents involved in a suit against Adobe Inc. is asking the U.S. Supreme Court whether district courts are effectively required to transfer patent cases to the homes of large corporations. In its February 26 petition for certiorari, SynKloud Technologies LLC says the added convenience of a move to a corporate defendant's home state is only one aspect a court should consider.
