By exploring the relationships among sheet relative bonded area (RBA), light scattering coefficient S, sheet density ρ s , and fiber flexibility index (FFI), we have developed a new method for measuring the sheet RBA that can be used on-line. The result is a linear relationship that allows quick, convenient calculation of RBA during on-line operation.
