A Proposal for a More User-Oriented GUM

摘要

A deep revision of the guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement (GUM) is proposed, that will maintain the same original goals and principles but differ from the current version by providing greater support for users to implement those principles. This new approach may overcome some of the setbacks that have been encountered over the years in the application of the GUM, thus making the practice of evaluating measurement uncertainty more widespread.
