No change is in store for the coinage (and no revaluation is lurking in the redesign), but due to be launched this month is a whole new array of colorful bank notes, boasting modern technologies to be easily read by ATMs and to foil counterfeiters. Indeed, the redesign will transform the tenge into one of the world's most secure and up-to-date currencies.
