Russia's ruble bond market has been fully open to international investors for less than a year. Most limits on foreign participation were removed on July 1, 2006, while full convertibility of the ruble was achieved only at the start of 2007. That opened for the door to mainstream foreign investors, which will likely shape the development of this market for months to come.
