Leonardo Project on Training in Non-Destructive Testing

On 25 and 26 November 2004 the first international meeting was held in Cartagena (Spain) to mark the starting point of work on the EUROPEAN PROGRAMME OF TRAINING FOR THE QUALIFICATION OF NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING PERSONNEL. The meeting was presided over by Don Constantino Sotoca, General Director of the Servicio Regional de Empleo y Formacion de la Comunidad de Murcia, and attended by representatives from all the participant organisations. The project is framed within the pilot programmes of LEONARDO DA VINCI communitarian action of the European Union in the field of professional training, and the objective of the project is to develop European training programmes in Non-Dcstructive Testing at level 1, level 2, and level 3 in live methods: Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Eddy Current Testing, Ultrasonic Testing and Radiographic Testing.
