Reciprocal visit to the UK by Chinese NDE delegation

As a part of the Interact Scheme between China and the UK in the area of NDT, on 6th September, a reciprocal visit to UK research labs commenced, after a British delegation conducted a tour of China in April 2005. The reciprocal visit was supported and funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the EPSRC and Chinese Industries. The Chinese delegation consisted of six Chinese scientists and engineers, namely Professor TuYaoyuan and Professor Liu Qingyan, of the East China University of Science and Technology, Professor Zhou Zhenggan from Beihang University, Professor Li Luming from Tsinghua University, Professor Wang Jue from Chongqing University, and Professor Su Zhenwei from Sichuan University. They visited Imperial College London and the Universities of Bristol, Bath, Warwick, Manchester, Leeds Metropolitan, Leeds and Huddersfield. The tour was coordinated and organised by Professor Gui Yun Tian. Three of the delegate members also attended the annual British Institute of NDT conference, held in Harrogate in September 2005 and gave their presentations.
