Indian national conference to feature NDT in the power industry

The manufacture of quality products at an economical price is becoming extremely important for power industries if they want to survive in the highly competitive market. Particularly during the past decade, the power industry has progressed to such an extent that product quality, reliability, safety, efficiency, economy and sale price have become factors of utmost importance to the customer as well as the manufacturer.rnThe theme of the upcoming Indian Society for NDT (ISNT) conference, to be held 10-12 December 2009 in Tiruchirappalli, is 'NDT in the Power Industry', a subject not only of importance to power generation (nuclear and conventional), but also for petrochemical, oil and gas, aerospace, defence, transport, paper and chemical processing industries. The purpose of this conference is to bring together the multi-disciplinary community of engineers, scientists, academicians and regulatory bodies to discuss the recent trends and future developments in the area of NDE science and technology.
