RCC-M - Regies de Conception et de Construction des materiels Mecaniques des ilots nucleaires REP are the French design and construction rules for mechanical components of PWR nuclear islands. The rules are published in code form by AFCEN and they primarily apply to safety class components. This code is used as a basis for contractual relations between a client and a supplier and is accompanied by a list of components to which the RCC-M applies. The RCC-M rules are a description of current practice in the French nuclear industry based on its own nuclear and industrial experience. They are primarily based on development work undertaken in France. The 2012 edition of RCC-M is available in both English and French versions.
