Pentagon rushes to increase teleworking capabilities across the military

The Defense Department is scrambling to increase teleworking tools and network capacity with many employees working remotely during the coronavirus outbreak, as Pentagon officials say there will be some "permanency" to the new capabilities they've introduced in recent weeks. The military services are each working to increase their respective teleworking capacities while a high-level "COVID Telework Readiness Task Force" meets at the Pentagon daily to tackle issues that arise during DOD's shift to a largely remote workforce, according to DOD Chief Information Officer Dana Deasy.
