DOD TEAM TO COORDINATE STRATEGIC COMMUNICATION, PUBLIC DIPLOMACY

Under Secretary of Defense for Policy Michele Flournoy is assembling a small team responsible for global strategic engagement issues to improve overall coordination of public diplomacy and strategic communication efforts in the department.rnRosa Brooks, Flournoy's senior adviser, will lead the team of two to four members. The team will assist policy offices and senior leaders with the development of outreach and engagement plans and help coordinate Defense Department-wide engagement efforts, working closely with other DOD organizations such as public and legislative affairs, Pentagon spokesman Lt. Col. Jonathan Withington told Inside the Pentagon.
