U.S. Strategic Command is conducting internal discussions on current and future cyberwarfare capabilities in preparation for the creation of a new U.S. Cyber Command, according to STRATCOM chief Gen. Kevin Chilton.rnSTRATCOM officials are "taking a look at it right now, internal to the command," eying a potential command structure and how it would address offensive and defensive aspects of cyberwarfare holistically, he told reporters during a May 7 breakfast in Washington.rnInternal command deliberations have been focused on how STRATCOM would further integrate its two primary cyberwarfare directorates, Joint Task Force-Global Network Operations (JTF-GNO) and Joint Functional Component Command-Network Warfare (JFCC-NW), under a new command structure, Chilton said.
