DOD Prepares RFPs On Mobile Device Management, Mobile App Store

The Defense Information Systems Agency is poised to release requests for proposals seeking industry involvement on an enterprise solution to handle a Mobile Device Management capability and provide a Mobile Application Store. The RFPs are expected to be released in the next couple of weeks, according to DISA Vice Director Rear Adm. David Simpson. "The details are still being put together in the RFPs as to whether we're just looking for solutions and then have the government run it or we're looking for contract operations," Simpson said during a brief interview Tuesday. To gear up for these requests, the department sought industry input through requests for information and held an industry day in June.
