Kendall Taps Acquisition Programs For FMS Technology-Protection Pilot

The Pentagon has tapped seven defense programs for a pilot project designed to protect critical technology in platforms considered highly desirable for foreign military sales, acting acquisition chief Frank Kendall informed Congress in a recent report. Kendall's office selected six major defense acquisition programs, including the Army's Ground Combat Vehicle and the Navy's Broad Area Maritime Surveillance unmanned system, and one non-MDAP program to be part of the Defense Exportability Features (DEF) pilot project.
