The Pentagon wants to investigate all Antideficiency Act violations in a timely manner, Defense Department Comptroller Robert Hale told lawmakers in a recent letter, noting that officials have made significant progress in recent years.In an Aug. 19 letter, Hale wrote reducing the number of late Antideficiency Act (ADA) investigations is a priority and a part of his overall goal to strengthen financial management. The number of overage ADA cases have dropped from 25 in fiscal year 2009 to only four in FY-12, Hale wrote. "My goal is to have zero overage cases by the end of FY 2014," he added.
