The Navy is investigating allegations of cheating by senior enlisted sailors training on naval nuclear reactors at a nuclear propulsion training facility in Charleston, SC, senior service officials said this week. According to Chief of Naval Operations Adm. Jonathan Greenert and Adm. John Richardson, the director of the service's nuclear propulsion program, who briefed reporters at the Pentagon Feb. 4, the Navy was alerted of the incident on Monday evening. The propulsion exam was allegedly shared among senior enlisted operators ~ staff at the facility. The test was one of a number of tests operators go through to get qualified for watch teams on nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers and was of a theoretical nature, they said.
