Defense Department Continues Big Data Focus With Acquisition Enterprise

The Defense Department is establishing the foundation for an open data enterprise program for acquisition analysts that will be a "one-stop shop" for acquisition information, according to Mark Krzysko, deputy director of enterprise information in DOD's acquisition office. Speaking at an April 30 industry event, Krzysko said the Defense Acquisition Visual Enterprise (DAVE) will hold vast amounts of data for analysts to access such as reference material, milestone decisions, program and portfolio health, budget decisions, policy and process improvement insights and industry performance.
