New Nuclear Disarmament Verification Partnership Calls First Meeting

The State Department's arms control chief will designate March 19-20 as the first meeting of the new international partnership for nuclear disarmament verification during a Feb. 5 speech in London. According to a State Department source, the International Partnership for Nuclear Disarmament Verification's first meeting will be held in Washington. Under Secretary of State for Arms Control and International Security Rose Gottemoeller first announced the partnership late last year in Prague.
