DOD announces info collection effort to support new industrial base study

The Pentagon last week said it plans to survey nearly 13,000 businesses and not-for-profit organizations to develop a defense industrial base information system. According to the notice, posted in the Federal Register, the office of the under secretary of defense for acquisition, technology and logistics is readying to collect information to "provide the adequate industrial capability analyses to indicate a diverse, healthy, and competitive industrial base capable of meeting Department demands."
