DOD moving full speed ahead with first-year plan for CMMC

The Pentagon is moving full speed ahead with its plans for the first year of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program, despite potential obstacles in finding the right first pilot contracts and meeting demand for assessors. The Defense Department confirmed last week the plan for contract solicitations with CMMC requirements has shifted from March to April or May. There are currently two programs under review in the revised timeframe: the Army's Program Main Operating Base - Special Purpose Processing Node, and the Air Force's Broadband Global Area Net.
