摘要

Surging energy commodity prices during the second quarter bolstered the stock performance of companies with significant gas pipeline assets, outperforming the vast majority of business sectors in the US economy.rnPipelines are "still a safe haven because of the yield," said John Cusick, an energy analyst for Oppenheimer & Co.rnAn analysis of 17 companies showed that pipeline-sector shares rebounded after a rocky Q1 performance. Investors flooded to energy stocks of nearly every kind as the equity market tanked and most commodity prices busted all-time highs.rnStocks analyzed by Platts increased 14.8% in the April-through-June period. On a year-on-year basis, Q2 results increased 6.5%.
