Recent trends have shown that industrial systems are being increasingly controlled by computers. Most of the automation in these systems is governed by a control software. The working of the software is dependent on certain input information, which mainly corresponds to the working of the industrial systems with respect to a few core control variables. The input data is typically procured by performing a number of experimental open loop tests. However, time and cost constraints have imposed a restriction on the number of experimental tests that could be conducted. An increasing need to generate more data and expand the input conditions has led to the development of computer aided engineering (CAE) simulation tools.
