Development of Micelles-based, Self-healing, Corrosion Inhibitor Coating

摘要

Though corrosion inhibitor coatings are applied to protectmetals from corrosion, the coatings may fail due to defectivecoatings or mechanical property changes. Also, exposure tothe sodium chloride (NaCl) solution subsequently propagatesand exposes the substrate to atmospheric moisture, oxygen,and chloride, and accelerates the failure of the coating.Therefore, to auto repair the coating film without heavyconstruction is a key research focus.
