Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Accelerator

Enterprises are exploring various options to increase flexibility when planning their computing infrastructure. One such option is the use of virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI). Originally designed for servers wherein virtualization is an important asset, especially for cloud computing, the usage of VDI has promised to change the concept where every personal computer (PC) has to be powerful in order to run modern applications. Many companies have found that by deploying VDI, they are able to save money by allowing older PCs to continue running modern software. However, VDI still has its drawbacks such as boot storms and input-output (I/O) related issues.
