Properties of Silica Prepared by Two-Step Sol-Gel Processing

Silica xerogels were prepared by two-step sol-gel processing, and their properties were studied. The texture and density of the xerogels can be controlled by varying the type of solvent and the water-to-alkoxide ratio.
