The Study of Ni_3Al Phase Formation Using the Method of Differential Scanning Calorimetry

Phase transformations in the binary Ni-Al (7 wt % Al) alloy which take place upon decomposition of an oversaturated solid solution are studied using the method of differential scanning calorimetry. The process of the Ni_3Al phase formation is shown to be related to the release of the latent heat of crystallization.
