Synthesis of Calcium Pyrophosphate Powders from Phosphoric Acid and Calcium Carbonate

摘要

Powders of calcium pyrophosphate Ca_(2)P_(2)O_(7)of γ- and β-modifications have been obtained using the thermal conversion of brushite CaHPO_(4)⋅2H_(2)O synthesized from phosphoric acid H_(3)PO_(4)and calcium carbonate CaCO_(3)at a molar ratio P/Ca = 1.1. The resulting powders can be used to create various functional materials, including biocompatible and bioresorbable materials for the treatment of bone defects.
