ABP Food Group announces sale of Silvercrest facility in Ireland to Kepak Group

The ABP Food Group is to exit the frozen burger sector in Ireland and have sold the Silvercrest facility at Ballybay, Co Monaghan to Kepak Croup, subject to Competition Authority approval. This sale involves the transfer of the 122 staff currently employed at Silvercrest. Throughout the last three months ABP has maintained the Silvercrest staff on full pay whilst the future of the plant was resolved.
