NUS President Received Prestigious Lifetime Award

Prof Tan Chorh Chuan, President of the National University of Singapore (NUS), is the first Singaporean to receive this year's prestigious Abdullah Bin Hamad AI-Attiyah International Energy Award for lifetime achievement in the advancement of educating future energy leaders. Prof Tan received the award in Doha, Qatar, from His Excellency Abdullah bin Hamad AI-Attiyah, President of the Administrative Control and Transparency Authority in Qatar. The Abdullah Bin Hamad AI-Attiyah International Energy Awards Foundation was conceived to celebrate the legacy of H.E. AI-Attiyah by rewarding individuals for their lifetime achievement in advancing fields of work and policy that emulate His Excellency's 40 years of distinguished contribution to the global energy industry. The five categories of Lifetime Achievement award are for the advancement of the Qatar Energy Industry; Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries; Education for Future Energy Leaders; Producer-Consumer Dialogue; and International Energy Journalism.
