Not so long ago, in a galaxy far, far away (or maybe Southern California just seems that way), a man with a large tract of land and an even larger bank account announced plans for a 75,000-seat stadium for an as-of-yet-unpilfered NFL team. Ed Roski's grand vision, showcased at www.losangelesfootballstadium.com, features land he owns in City of Industry, Calif. The distinctive-looking facility, which is highlighted on the site in a spiffy virtual fly-over, could be ready for the 2011 season if the following criteria are met: 1. The California Legislature must pass a bill to help with development. 2. Folks in the area must give the project the go-ahead. 3. Oh yeah, and an existing NFL team must make a commitment to move to SoCal and play in a temporary home until the stadium is completed.
