The Library of Congress (LC) captured front-page billing on MSNBC recently, as well as other respectable coverage in most major news media. It was great to see a Web 2.0 story featuring the venerable institution. LC has teamed up with Flickr, the photo-sharing and social networking site in a new pilot project to share photos from LC's collections. They have created the Flickr Commons as a public place to share photos that have "no known copyright restrictions."
