The 27th Annual Charleston Conference: What Tangled Webs We Weave

A record audience of more than 1,100 people assembled at the 27th Annual Charleston Conference on Issues in Book and Serial Acquisition, held Nov. 7-10 in Charleston, S.C. Katina Strauch, conference founder and head of collection development at the College of Charleston Library, organized the event again this year. (See the January 2007 IT for an interview with Strauch.) Its continued success and growing popularity have strained the current facilities to the limit. This year, three additional satellite-meeting venues were pressed into service.
