Spiceworks Regulates Power Use With Free Plug-In

Spiceworks, Inc. released a plug-in for its free IT management application so users can automatically regulate the power consumption of networked computer hardware. The downloadable plug-in, which was developed in conjunction with Intel, will en-rnsure that eco-friendly IT initiatives are more accessible and efficient for companies. Features include the ability to observe current power usage, generate a visual map of networked machines and their status, and view estimates of daily savings based on the current price and usage of electricity.
