Last November, a group of nearly 300 people gathered at the William G. McGowan Theatre in Washington, D.C.'s National Archives to discuss the current status of the semantic web.rnThe 1-day conference, titled Semantic Search: Fact or Myth, was co-sponsored by CENDI, NFAIS, and FLICC (Federal Library and Information Center Committee). The 10 speak-rners at the conference represented a cross section of government, academics, and enterprise and channeled the talks into topical chunks that included projects and prototypes, research, products and services, and the future.
