Springer's GeoJournal Examines Global Internet Censorship

摘要

A study from Springer's GeoJournal recently examined the degree of internet censorship in different areas around the world. Authored by Barney Warf of the University of Kansas, the study breaks the global information environment down by the reasons, types, extent of, and opposition to internet censorship and reveals that even in a time when more than 25% of the world's population uses the internet, the extent to which information is censored is still determined by users' geographic locations.
