The Topeka & Shawnee Public Library (TSPL) created the website, which features a petition and video, so librarians can be heard (David King, digital branch and services manager at TSPL, posted an explanation on his blog. The goal of Ebooks for Libraries is simple: "Keep ebooks in Libraries. Sign this petition to send a message to publishers."
