摘要

Librii, an initiative to build mobile digital libraries in developing countries, received funding via a recent Kickstarter campaign. The project concept is simple: This network of low-cost, digitally powered libraries will be deployed in revamped cargo containers that will be placed strategically along a developing nation's growing fiber-optic network. The first of these facilities will be established in Ghana. The cargo containers will be equipped with digital and physical resources as well as internet access so local communities can tap into information about education, commerce, and medicine.
