Criminal Justice Sites Reflect Intense National Concerns

This review is being written 1 year after Ferguson. It's telling that I don't need to use more than that single word for you to know what I mean. "Ferguson" has entered the national vocabulary, similar to "Katrina" and "Newtown." It ignited an intense firestorm of attention to and criticism of the nation's criminal justice system, particularly over mass incarceration, troubling police/citizen interactions, and racial injustice. Ferguson-both the incident and its larger significance-has been thoroughly covered by news and opinion media of all sorts: print, broadcast, cable, and the web (as well as others that may have escaped my notice). These recent discussions, however, are just the latest additions to a large and highly informative "content collection" that's been building for many years.
