The editors of Access Controlled: The Shaping of Power, Rights, and Rule in Cyberspace have accomplished the astronomical task of reviewing global rules and regulations of Internet use. In order to tackle such a monumental project, Access Controlled'^ editors, all of whom are members of the OpenNet Initiative (ONI), expanded their 2007 global survey of Internet filtering. As a result, Access Controlled is a follow-up to the survey results collected in the 2007 text Access Denied: The Practice and Policy of Global Internet Filtering (2008).
