The Identity Theft ResourcenCenter (ITRC) Breach Reportnrecorded 498 datanbreaches in 2009, down from then657 reported in 2008. But whilenthe number of breaches may benfalling, more and more records arencomprised in those breaches eachnyear – more than 222 million inn2009 alone.
