摘要

The topic of neutral grounding of industrial and commercial power systems has been covered extensively in the literature. The first part of "A Design Guide to Neutral Grounding of Industrial Power Systems" was published previously by the authors [1]. That article traced the historical evolution of power system grounding practices in North America. Various grounding methods were compared, and the pros and cons of each method were highlighted. Due to differences in operational characteristics, each method is best suited for a specific application. Selection criteria based on the operational characteristics of each method were presented to help system designers choose the most appropriate grounding method for an application. The goal of the article was to answer the question, "Which is the most appropriate method to use?"
