One of the main problems facing distributors today, according to reports and surveys, is hiring and keeping qualified employees. The hydraulic/ pneumatic industry is no different. For several years, a program called For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology (FIRST) has been in place to attract students in high school and college to the fascinating world of fluid power dynamics and machinery through robotics. In essence, according to the Fluid Power Educational Foundation, FIRST helps turn students into the future buyers and engineers of power products.
